TOP 5 MISTAKES DONE ON SPORTS DAYS

Sports Day is one of the prestigious and most important days for a preschool or playschool to have. Kids showcasing their talents through activities and games are a beautiful sight to watch by everyone, in particular to their parents.

Go Alpha Kids has helped in managing hundreds of sports day events. However, we observed some mistakes happening in and around the event, which may spoil the whole function. From our observation and understanding, we have the top 5 mistakes done on sports day events. We also have the solutions rightly for the same:

1. Location – Kids might get hurt from activities done on Mud ground. Also, unnecessary dust is harmful to the kids.

Try to use a synthetic turf as they are coming up everywhere and are not only safe but also appear to be pretty for doing activities by small children over it.

2. One size fits all – On general terms, every franchisee present in the trend uses the same format of sports day activities for all the preschools and playschools. They are provided with the same plan by the franchisor. This does not take into account the individual needs and demands from the schools.

Ensure that you get a customized or change for your school. This is highly one of our agendas from Go Alpha Kids, as we offer games differing accordingly.

3. Assigning the work – We use to see the Teachers getting hyped all time, from the stress and tensions of having to make the function go well.

Typically, assigning things to each staff member according to their capabilities and make the works easier. As a teacher one can make use of the available resources well by giving one work per one person.

4. Separating parents – Generally leaving the parents on ground is not advisable. Sometimes children get cranky on seeing their parents or even may feel the need to go be with them without a reason.

The kids and their parent are to be separated before the ground, if possible during a sports day event. The event should also try to finish with the activities of the PG first. (play-group which is 2 to 3 years)

5. Photography – While seeing their kids perform on sports day, parents of children get cheerful and may start clicking photos. However, this actually distracts your kid from performing well.

The members can ensure that parents do not take any photos on the ground and also can be informed about the photographs given from the play centre itself.

These are the 5 mistakes and the solutions to follow for the same. Other small but significant issues include making the event appear like a carnival and not appreciating the efforts and performance of the small kids. Ensure that the event moves in a formal way and also giving rewards and physical applauds can actually make the child go a long way in its sports career.

Our kids from Go Alpha Kids are ensured that they do have a variety of sports activities such as Gymnastic shows, Javelin throw, Goalkeeping, and a lot more on their sports day event. We help plan and sketch out in achieving the flow of an event successfully. Any event with equipment’ from Go Alpha Kids will definitely be a Sports Day!
