Day 3 – Kids Sports Summit
The first speaker on the final day of the summit was Srishti Jupudi. She is a World Championship Badminton Player and the Youth Ambassador of Habitat for Humanity. She talked about her journey as a badminton player. How she coped with her studies while pursuing her passion for badminton and How she came to train a legendary coach were some of the things she mentioned during this session. She also spoke a bit about her experience on the international platform of badminton.
Next, we had a storytelling session by Faridah Saith. She was a spokesperson from Mastree. Her session was a lot of fun, and the children were extremely interactive. After this, we had a session on mental health. The speaker for this session was Japnoor Garcha, a Child, Clinical, and Counseling Psychologist. She talked about how to engage kids in a meaningful manner during these difficult times. Stress and anxiety affect kids’ mental well-being, and to cope with that, she recommended various mindfulness techniques that parents can encourage their kids to take up. Parents had a lot of queries and doubts on this topic which Japnoor answered during the summit session.
And lastly, there was a dance class taken by Ansul, Director, Bangalore School of Performing Arts, who was also on the panel discussion which was held on Day 2. And with this fun session, Kids Sports Summit 2021 came to a close.
